How To Get Out of a Marriage Rut

Those who are married know that as a couple we often tend to fall into a dull and monotonous lifestyle. There is no excitement and you feel no connection with each other... We become robots, just functioning.

If you've been feeling low about your relationship, this could be the easiest way to revive some excitement.

Do something new.

That's it! All you have to do is try something new. It can be as big as taking a vacation to your dream place or even just exploring your own city.

The main idea is to do something that neither of you has done before.

We need to do new things not just as a couple but as an individual we need it. For me personally, I need to try new things, see new things. We are glued to the internet every single day. I get frustrated with myself. I want to live life not just breathe, eat, sleep repeat. I want to remember God, appreciate Him truly for everything. I want to experience different things. I want to feel like I'm really alive.

The Internet has become such a big part of our lives. We are wasting hours and hours on it. It depresses me to realize how much of my life has passed and I could have done something much better than sit on my phone for xxx hours.

Do something that involves nature. So, you can meditate, refresh and also appreciate God. Trust me being out in nature makes a world of a difference. If you can sit by the beach, do that. Or if the weather is good plan a small picnic out in the garden. Watch the sunset, maybe pray outside?!

I'm going to go stargazing as soon as there is a moonless night. I haven't seen a sky full of stars in my entire life!!! I want to see a full 360 panoramic view of the sky and galaxies and everything.

If you're living in Saudi Arabia google activities for whatever city you're living in. Here in Jeddah, there is so much to do. I want to go cave exploring and possibly snorkeling.

Wherever in the world you are, there will be different activities that you can do. Get up and really live life!
